👘 Yukata Workshop at Tonari Gumi 👘

Welcome to Kintoki Kimono Workshop, Summer Yukata Basics at Tonari Gumi. A low-key but fun and informative yukata wearing lesson. 

Powell street festival happening at the beginning of August, so it’s a perfect time to learn and practice how to dress yourself in a summer yukata. We will also go over tips on how to shop for one online if you are in the market for your own Yukata.

If you require a yukata rental for the session, please select the ticket “Lesson and Rental” option. Sen will bring her extensive yukata and obi collection for those who require a set to rent for the lesson. Sizes S~M for heights 5’0 (150cm) to 5’7” (172cm) available. 

If you have your own yukata set you would like to bring to the lesson please select the ticket option “Lesson Only”.

For the lesson please come prepared and wear a non-underwire sports bra. We will all be in one room with mirrors ( no personal changing rooms) so please come wearing or bring ONE of following option as an under-layer for your yukata wearing lesson. 

• A low cut or V-neck T-shirt and non flared maxi-style skirt. 

• Fitted bike shorts or leggings and low cut top.  

• A non-flared, low-cut maxi dress one piece. 

• A summer hadajuban ( a kimono under-layer).
