Medical Transportation
This transportation service for medical appointments is useful for individuals who don’t have nearby support of family or friends, or who are not comfortable taking the bus, Skytrain or taxi.
Medical Interpretation
Medical interpretation by telephone or in person. With this easy-to-use service, a Japanese interpreter can help with short appointments with the doctor as well as medical exams and trips to the pharmacy.
Eligibility
• Tonari Gumi members and Non-members
• Seniors (55+)
• Those who have no family or friends living in the Metro Vancouver area
Medical Transportation Fees
$40 first two hours, plus $5 every 30 minutes
• Additional charges for public transportation cost and/or parking fees
