Medical Interpretation and Transportation
Tonari Gumi offers three types of medical related services with basic conversational interpretation supporting those in need of language assistance and having no immediate support from family and friends. Please note that this is not a certified medical interpretation service. Tonari Gumi has a right to decline service requests due to level of interpretation requirements.

Eligibility

Tonari Gumi Members: Being 55 years of age and older

Non-members: Being 65 years of age and older
-
Has no immediate support from family and friends.

Has a valid credit card, cheque to make payment after receipt of invoice.

Cost

Medical Interpretation Services / In-Person / $40 for first 2 hours

Medical Interpretation Services / Telephone / $20 for first 1 hour

Medical Transportation Services / Telephone / $55 for first 2 hours from pick up time. Parking fee (If applicable)
Registration
Please contact Tonari Gumi Community Services Staff at least two weeks prior to service request date.
