We have received an announcement from BC-JERF today. We support what BC-JERF has been doing for Japan, and we are happy to share this announcement with you on our website!
The BC-JERF Raffle ticket drawing is approaching! The BC-JERF Raffle has been available at many many places in the Greater Vancouver area for the last couple months. I’m sure most of you have seen us somewhere in town, at some events, or online. This weekend (the last weekend before the drawing!), our raffle team will be at the event “Ships to Shore 2011” in Steveston. More precicely, our raffle team will be at the WAVES COFFEE HOUSE in Steveston from June 3 to June 5. Please come and enjoy this cool event and also find us with orange T-shirts at WAVES COFFEE HOUSE and purchase some raffle tickets for Japan! All of the funds will benefit earthquake, tsunami and nuclear reactor victims in Northeastern Japan.
Where to find us:
Location: WAVES COFFEE HOUSE (#120-12231 First. St. (@ Bayview), Richmond)
Time: June 3 (1pm-9pm), June 4 (9am-9pm) June 5 (9am-6pm)
By the way, this event, “Ships to Shore 2001,” seems very fun with four of North America’s most popular tall ships, a farmers market, and pirate movies on a huge outdoor screen!
Also, the drawing will be held at 10am on Saturday June 11 (3rd month anniversary since the disaster) at Tonari Gumi, a great supporter of BC-JERF! Please come to see us at Tonari Gumi. There will be a small jazz concert afterwards too.
Finally, a great big thanks to Tonari Gumi for your wonderful continuous support!
Judy Mukoda (BC-JERF Raffle Coordinator)
